I’ve spent the past month in Belgrade, and I have to say: this city is probably one of the most underrated I’ve ever been to in Europe. Between the strange mix of Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian, and brutalist Yugoslavian architecture, cafes such as Aviator Coffee Explorer serving up top-notch espresso for barely more than a dollar, the party boats on the Danube river, and the outdoor markets where you can buy everything from carrots to electronic AC/DC adaptors.
It gets cold in this part of the world by November, but with so much incredible culture and super cheap, amazing nightlife, you’ll be too busy immersing yourself in this strange and fascinating city to care.
