West Coast flights to Eastern Europe from $450

I’m ready for summer but also can’t wait for it to be over. Why? Cheap off-season fares!

Normally flights to cities such as Athens or Budapest run close to $1,000 or more, so there are some awesome deals to get you to Eastern Europe. Whether that means taking in a romantic city such as Prague in the fall or getting an entire beach to yourself in Santorini (the Mediterranean should still be warm enough for swimming), you’ll be glad you went.

Los Angeles-Athens: October 21-31 on American Airlines for $455

Los Angeles-Budapest: One way flights in September/November from $225 on Norwegian

Los Angeles-Prague: October 4-18 on Norwegian for $497

Oakland-Belgrade: One way flights in September/November from $250 on Norwegian

Oakland-Budapest: One way flights in September/October from $255 on Norwegian

Seattle-Riga: October 4-18 on Norwegian and Air Baltic for $525. FYI, two separate bookings (plus 24 hour stopover in London at the end of the trip).

Seattle-Santorini: One way flights in September/October from $280 on Norwegian.
